A Typical Day
09:15amDoors Open.
Children are welcomed to the playgroup by the staff and encouraged to all sit together on the mat. This is followed by taking of a register and a short group discussion time.
09:30amChildren can choose from a range of activities which vary from structured group work, one–to-one activities and free play. No child is forced to participate in anything they do not willingly wish to do. All craft and art work produced by the children is their own work and not an offering from staff.
10:30amStory Time
10:45amSnack Time
Children are fed very well at Tansor and are offered healthy low sugar foods, if applicable topical foods are also introduced. Details of the snack of the day are displayed on the notice board. Drinking water is available for children throughout the session and milk is provided at snacktime for children who choose it.
11:15amGroup Discussion Time
The children come back together as a group, after tidying up their things, to discuss what they have created/achieved during the morning this helps to promote independence, confidence and self esteem.
11:30amPhysical Activity
This is outside unless the weather is very cold or wet. So please ensure your children have a coat, hat and gloves in winter.
